  • Parade entrants sought for Kolache Festival

  • Everyone is invited to participate in the 2013 Kolache Festival Parade in Prague on Saturday, May 4. Many of the parade entries are judged and eligible for prize money.

  • Everyone is invited to participate in the 2013 Kolache Festival Parade in Prague on Saturday, May 4. Many of the parade entries are judged and eligible for prize money.
    Floats are judged based on the 2013 theme, "Got Kolaches?" Commercial division floats are awarded plaques while youth and adult divisions receive prize money ranging from $250 to $50.
    Drill Teams compete for prize money from $100 to $50; Round-Up Clubs receive $150 to $75 and Animal entries are awarded $100 to $50.
    The parade line-up is on Highway 99 south of town and the check-in site is at 1st Street.
    The parade starts promptly at 11:00 a.m. and travels north to the stoplight, turning west down Main Street through town. Rain does not cancel parade.

    Deadline to turn in parade applications to be judged for prize money is Monday, April 29.
