The Hornets of Macomb recorded triumphs over Earlsboro (9-0) and Butner (12-1) Tuesday.

The Hornets of Macomb recorded triumphs over Earlsboro (9-0) and Butner (12-1) Tuesday.

The opener went just 3 1/2 innings as Earlsboro was limited to two hits by William Conley. Conley whiffed three and walked one in upping his record to 2-2.

Thomas Cope and Dalton French picked up two singles apiece for Macomb.

Macomb needed just three innings to whip Butner 12-1. Butner didn’t collect a hit against French, who whiffed two batters and hit one.

Josh Browning delivered three singles and five RBI for Macomb and Cope was credited with a run-scoring two-bagger.

Butner made four errors.

Macomb (7-8) will begin play Thursday in the Little River Conference Tournament at Bowlegs. The tourney will run through Saturday.

In another game Tuesday, Butner knocked off Earlsboro, 14-8.
