St. Gregory’s University will host a lecture by Dale Ahlquist, president of the American Chesterton Society, on Friday, April 5, as part of its Catholic Culture Series.
Ahlquist, creator and host of the EWTN series “G.K. Chesterton: The Apostle of Common Sense” and publisher of Gilbert Magazine, which is devoted to the writings of the prolific English author, will help attendees discover just who G.K. Chesterton was by introducing them to his ideas, thoughts and the joy and depth of his faith.
“With interest in the works of G.K. Chesterton surging, we are excited to have Dale Ahlquist as our featured speaker for the Catholic Culture Series,” said Fr. Nicholas Ast, O.S.B., St. Gregory’s Vice President of Mission and Identity.
During his lifetime, Chesterton wrote nearly one hundred books and more than 4,000 essays on a variety of topics, from history and economics to apologetics and theology and more.
Ahlquist’s lecture, “G.K. Chesterton: The Apostle of Common Sense,” will take place Friday, April 5, at 7:30 p.m., in the Shawnee Common Room in Rockwood Center on the SGU campus.
The event is open to the public. Admission is $5. For more information, contact Marvin Bennett at (405) 878-5352 or by email at email@example.com.
