Alisha Huggins was lights out at the plate Friday as Class A’s fifth-ranked Asher defeated Byng 6-4 in the Stonewall Tournament.

Huggins went 3-for-3 with a double, a solo home run and a grand slam — thereby accounting for five of the Lady Indians’ six runs.

Asher trailed 2-0 after one inning before putting up a five-spot in the bottom of the third.

Tristan Milburn, Brandi Doshier, Shelby Fleming and Desaray Goodgion each recorded a single for the victors.

Asher is 12-5 going into today’s noon contest versus Tushka.
