Tecumseh opened the day Friday with an 11-7 win over Byng, but was later hit with a 3-2 loss to host Harrah. Both games were part of the McLoud Tournament.
The Savages never trailed Byng after going up 3-0 in the bottom of the first inning. Connor Patton went the distance and gave up seven hits and two walks while improving to 4-1. He struck out 12.
Rylan Pierce clubbed a pair of doubles in Tecumseh’s eight-hit offense, and he drove in three runs and scored three times. Gage Trahan went 3-for-4 with a double and three runs scored, and Alan Brewer finished with a double and a single.
Darian Permetter drove in two runs on a base hit.
Tecumseh led Harrah 2-0 after one inning, but three errors proved costly as the Panthers scored three unearned runs in the bottom of the fourth.
Trahan fell to 2-1 on the hill with the complete-game effort. He gave up two runs on as many hits while striking out a dozen batters.
Tecumseh is 11-3 going into today’s portion of the tournament.
