Robust hitting was Tecumseh’s mainstay in defeats of Anadarko (16-1) and Jenks (10-5) Thursday at the Norman Festival.

The game against Anadarko was stopped on the run rule when Tecumseh tallied 12 runs in the fifth inning.

Tecumseh out-hit Anadarko 16-2 as Hilary Babbit and Jordan Detherage collected three hits apiece. Babbit had two doubles and three runs batted in. Detherage posted a double and scored three times.

Junior Logan Hays cracked a three-run roundtripper and teammates Caylie Patton, Kelsie Carsten and Shyanna Sigman added a home run apiece. Carsten also had a double, scored twice and drove in two runs. Sigman added a single and scored twice.

Aspen Grimes recorded a triple and two RBI and Macy Muirhead fashioned two singles.

Tecumseh then out-hit Jenks 11-5 as Detherage collected five RBI, including a home run and a single. Sigman scored three times and clubbed a HR while Patton had a double and a single. Carsten and Muirhead recorded two singles each.

Tecumseh (16-4) will play three games today at the Big Cat Classic held at three schools — Moore, Southmoore and Westmoore. Tecumseh will open at 1 p.m. with Tulsa Union, then meet Westmoore at 4:30 p.m. Tecumseh is scheduled to end the day with a 5:45 p.m. battle versus Anadarko.
