  • Class A’s fifth-ranked Asher pegged a 10-2 loss on 5A’s No. 10 Holdenville Thursday in the first round of the Stonewall Tournament.

  • Class A’s fifth-ranked Asher pegged a 10-2 loss on 5A’s No. 10 Holdenville Thursday in the first round of the Stonewall Tournament.
    Holdenville led 2-0 after two innings, and Asher ending the scoring and effected the run rule with five runs each in the bottoms of the fourth and sixth frames.
    Asher out-hit Holdenville, 13-8, with Brandi Doshier, Haley Odell and Desaray Goodgion getting two singles each. Odell drove in two runs.
    Alisha Huggins got a two-run triple for the Lady Indians, and Kasadi Reimers and Haylee Andrews each knocked a run-scoring double.
    Asher is 11-5 going into today’s 2:20 p.m. game against Byng.
