  • Class 2A’s top-ranked Dale blitzed Chandler by an 8-0 count Monday. The game was stopped after six frames on the run rule.

Hunter Pinkston moved to 2-0 with the complete-game effort. He held Chandler to one hit while tossing three strikeout and issuing four walks.

The Pirates played errorless behind him.

Of Dale’s 10 hits, Chase Byndas was the ringleader at 4-for-4. That included a double and a triple.

Teammates Tanner Nelson and Gage Ross each went 2-for-3 — all singles.

The undefeated Pirates, now 13-0, are scheduled to travel to Bethel for a 4 p.m. encounter today — weather permitting.

The Pirates’ win Monday followed their championship effort Saturday in the McLoud Tournament. They topped Tecumseh 3-0 for the title, and reached the championship game via a 3-0 win over Blanchard Friday. Dalton Tillison moved to 2-0 with the pitching win against Blanchard, and Evan Anderson (3-0) and Nelson combined for a one-hitter versus Tecumseh.

Against Blanchard, Byndas was 3-for-3 and Taylor Smith was 2-for-4 with a two-run home run.
