A Chandler woman injured in an Oklahoma City accident Tuesday continues to recover at OU Medical Center.
Joan Butts, 79, was listed in stable condition Wednesday, a hospital representative said.
The accident occurred on Interstate 44 at S.W. 29th Street in Oklahoma County.
Butts was a passenger in a 1999 Lexus driven by Sandra Lee Helm, 66, of Chandler, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported.
The vehicle was struck head-on as they traveled northbound on I-44.
The patrol reported the driver of a southbound Ford Ranger struck a Volvo tractor-trailer rig while attempting to change lanes.
After that, the pickup went into the center median, crossed the guardrail and struck the Lexus, the OHP said.
Helm was transported by EMSA ambulance to Mercy Hospital, where she was treated for head and trunk injuries, then released, troopers reported.
Butts went by ambulance to OU Medical Center with head, trunk, arm and leg injuries, the report shows.
The driver of the Ford, Timothy G. Mehl, 60, Oklahoma City, also was transported by ambulance to OU Medical Center, where he was treated for injuries and released, the OHP said.
The driver of the tractor-trailer rig was not injured.
Troopers reported cause of the accident as an unsafe lane change. It was raining at the time of the accident.
