Oklahoma Baptist University student Brittany Seale will perform her senior recital Sunday, April 14, at 2:30 p.m. in Raley Chapel’s Yarborough Auditorium on the OBU campus.
The community is invited to attend.
Seale is a music education major, with an instrumental emphasis, from Broken Arrow, Okla. The daughter of Steven and Tommy Seale, she is from the studio of Dr. Christopher Neal, associate professor of music and director of bands. During the performance, Seale will be assisted on piano by Dr. Sandra Meyer, staff accompanist and retired associate professor of music.
The recital will include works by Saint-Saëns, Debussy and Finzi.
During her time on Bison Hill, Seale has been named to the President’s Honor Roll and Dean’s Honor Roll, and she has received several academic scholarships. She serves as executive vice president of the OBU chapter of Kappa Kappa Psi, a fraternity for college and university band members. She also is a member of Kappa Delta Pi; Phi Eta Sigma; Mortar Board; Symphonic Winds; Bisonettes Glee Club; Bison Jazz Orchestra; and the OBU/Shawnee Community Orchestra.
Seale’s performances have included “You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown”; “The Messiah”; and OBU’s Concerto Aria Concert orchestra.
Following graduation, she hopes to serve in an education position in Tulsa and possibly pursue graduate school.
The audience is cordially invited to a reception in Raley Chapel Room 142 immediately following the recital.
