Shawnee’s Lady Wolves went 2-2 on the day Friday against visiting Claremore as No. 1 singles entrant Meagan Hanson and No. 2 doubles teammates Shelbe Fennell and Kaylan Storie posted victories.
Hanson recorded a 6-0, 6-0 win against Claremore’s Madison Coleman, and Fennell and Storie won in three sets (6-7, 6-4, 7-6) against Morgan Johnson and Ashley Rogers.
Meg Reeder, at No. 2 singles, suffered a 6-4, 6-3 loss to Claremore’s Kaleigh Cox, and No. 1 doubles entrants McKenzie Lumry and Emily Stobbe fell in three sets (6-2, 2-6, 4-6) to Bailey Wilton and Katlin Schwartz.
On the boys’ side, Shawnee went 1-3 with the only win coming by injury default at No. 2 doubles — Zach Fisher and Chase Wood.
Shawnee is scheduled to participate in the Suburban Conference tournament Monday at the Oklahoma City Tennis Center.
