Tenth-ranked Bethel ran its record to 16-8 Monday by accomplishing victories over Noble, 17-6, and Tecumseh, 9-2.
Against Noble, Bethel tallied 11 runs in the third inning and the game was stopped in the bottom of the fourth on the run rule.
Bethel combined 10 hits with 10 walks against Noble. Cherokee Moore led the onslaught with a 3-of-3 performance that included a double and four runs batted in.
Cati Caro concluded the game in the fourth with a two-run double.
In the seven-inning nightcap, Bethel fashioned 17 hits opposite Tecumseh.
Bethel’s Shelby Miller, Ashley Elmore, Caro and Moore all went 3-of-4. Caro had the only non-single with a two-run triple.
Meghan Tade and Tayler Short of Bethel notched two singles each with Tade driving in two runs.
Bethel will travel to Kellyville Thursday for a four-team Class 5A regional. The Lady Wildcats will oppose Little Axe at 2:15 p.m. with Berryhill and Kellyville to follow. The regional champion and the regional runner-up will advance to next week’s state tournament at Oklahoma City’s Hall of Fame Stadium.
Tecumseh, 22-10, will host a 6A regional Wednesday. Tecumseh and Norman will open the proceedings at 11 a.m., followed by Southmoore and Noble at 12:15 p.m. The regional will be played under a double-elimination format and only the champion advances to next week’s state tournament.
