Tecumseh’s 1600 and 3200 relay teams authored first-place finishes Saturday at the Chandler track meet.

Stephen Melot, Duane Coleman, Caleb Austin and Tanner Rickey combined for a time of 3:44.13 in the 1600. Logan Funderburk joined Melot, Rickey and Coleman for an 8:48.37 in the 3200.

Melot was also second in the 800 with a 2:04.89 and Funderburk was the 3200 runner-up at 11:00.97. Melot came in third in the 400 at 52.84.

Placing fourth were Funderburk in the 1600 (5:07.64) and Austin in the high jump (5-2).

On the girls’ side, Tecumseh’s 400 relay and 3200 relay units came in third. The 400 team of Deanna Day, Micah Hawkins, Elizabeth Bivens and Lexi Bounds combined for a 63.67 while Taylor Williams, Kanasa Spybuck, Zandy Sigman and Taci Richardson came in at 11:18.64.

Also third was Bianca Mason in the 800 (2:42.59).

Fourth-place individual finishes were accomplished by Williams in the 800 (2:50.19) and Hope Coleman in the shot put (31-4) and discus (85-8).

The 800 relay foursome of Day, Hawkins, Bounds and Bivens finished fourth (2:13.53) and the 1600 relay of Williams, Spybuck, Sigman and Richardson placed fourth (4:55.53).
