The 2013 Sooner Athletic Conference baseball tournament launches Wednesday with eight teams playing at two sites.
Oklahoma City University’s Jim Wade Stadium and Oklahoma Baptist University’s Bison Field at Ford Park host this year’s tournament for a second consecutive season.
OCU hosts Pool A and includes top-seeded Oklahoma City, along with Science and Arts of Oklahoma, Rogers State and Mid-America Christian. OBU, hosting pool B, features OBU, Lubbock Christian, Wayland Baptist and St. Gregory’s.
Wednesday’s schedule begins at 2 p.m. with USAO taking on Rogers State in Oklahoma City, while Lubbock Christian plays St. Gregory’s in Shawnee. At 6 p.m., OCU plays Mid-America Christian and OBU plays Wayland Baptist.
On Thursday, the 2 p.m. games are USAO vs. MACU and LCU vs. Wayland Baptist, while Oklahoma City plays Rogers State and Oklahoma Baptist tangles with St. Gregory’s in the 6 p.m. games.
Friday’s 2 p.m. games are Rogers State vs. MACU and Wayland Baptist vs. SGU, while the 6 p.m. games have OCU taking on USAO and OBU battling Lubbock Christian.
The pool winners advance to Saturday’s championship game at 1 p.m. OCU.
