  • Due to the threat of severe weather, all four of the Multi-Agency Resource Centers (MARCs) will not be taking any new applications today and will suspend operations early.

People with tickets at the Moore MARC, for a time slot Thursday afternoon, should return on Saturday when those tickets will be honored, beginning in the morning.

The lunch meal will be served via mobile feeding vehicles today. The evening meal will not be delivered via mobile feeding trucks today. However, extra beverages and snacks will be available.

The American Red Cross understands that this is frustrating for those who have been affected by the tornadoes, but wants to assure people that help will continue to be available for weeks and months to come.

The Red Cross follows the lead of its government partners when making these decisions. “Our first priority is the safety of the people we serve and Red Cross workers,” said Marita Wenner Disaster Operations Director. “We want everyone to be very careful today as the severe weather rolls through the area and we will be back tomorrow to help the people of Oklahoma.”

The Red Cross urges all residents who may be affected by severe weather today to monitor weather radio, follow all warnings issued by authorities, know where your safe place is and have your safe place ready with supplies.
