For the first time, a Maud Jam Fest event has been scheduled June 29 in Maud, where everything from country to hip hop and gospel music will be part of the fun.
Sponsored by the Maud Police Department, the community event begins at 6 p.m. and will continue until 10 p.m. “or the last song is played.”
The location for the Jam Fest will be along Main Street, in front of the Masonic Lodge.
The music being played for the event is family friendly country music, some hip hop, as well as gospel, said Maud Police Chief Matt Haley.
“We have four bands registered to play and encourage more to register,” he said.
The police department is cooking hamburgers and hot dogs and encourages everyone to show up and have a good time, he said, adding all communities are welcome.
Jam Fest goers can enjoy a hamburger, a bag of chips and a drink for $4.
