EL RENO, Okla. (AP) — A sentencing hearing is set for a Mustang woman convicted of first-degree murder in the death of her husband, who served as fire chief in Nichols Hills.
In May, a Canadian County jury convicted Rebecca Bryan in the 2011 shooting death of Keith Bryan and recommended she be sentenced to life in prison without parole. Formal sentencing for Bryan is set for Tuesday afternoon.
Prosecutors say that Rebecca Bryan shot her husband in the head then hid the gun in a clothes dryer. Bryan had told investigators that an intruder broke into their home and shot her husband.
A presentencing report filed with the court says Bryan was a successful real estate agent who had no run-ins with law enforcements before her arrest.
