Graveside services for Savoy "Sy" Owen Davis are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 19, 2013, at Milo Cemetery with Bro. Larry Mitchell officiating. The family will have a visitation from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Craddock Funeral Home for a time of reflection and remembrance.

Savoy was born Aug. 8, 1933, in Sasakwa, Okla., to Cole Younger and Pauline Harris Davis. He passed this life on July 16, 2013, in Ardmore, at the age of 79.

He and Juhree were married June 2, 1962, in El Reno, Okla. They lived in Oklahoma City until Savoy retired from LeeWay Motor Freight after 20 years of employment, before moving to Ardmore in 1975. They owned and operated the Davis Trading Post in Ardmore for 31 years. He had many good times playing dominoes with his brothers-in-law, his former mother-in-law and other family members. He also enjoyed camping and traveling many places, time spent with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Savoy attended the Memorial Christian Church with Juhree. Savoy was a good man and considered such by many who knew him.

He is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 51 years, Juhree; two sons, Randy and his wife, Floris, of Yukon, and Johnny and his wife, Pam, of Jones, Okla.; two daughters, Brenda Yandell and her husband, Bob, of Hugo, and Glenda Barton of Yukon; one brother, W.G. Davis and his wife, Mary Jane, of Artesia, N.M.; one sister, LaVada Bridges of Lubbock, Texas; 11 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Also, his cat that he called "Honey," and many good friends and relatives.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, J.D. Davis, Orville "Snooks" Davis and Leon Davis.

Serving as pallbearers will be Chris, John D., Dakota, Sammy, Stanley Davis and Darrell Cox. Honorary bearers will be Jim, Lester, Wayne Cox, W.G. Davis, Tom Webster, Lynn Peery, Bob Yandell and Ray Coffey.
