Over the weekend, Shawnee police officers made contact with 53 drivers during the More Cops More Stops enforcement, which led to police finding eight drivers behind the wheel with a suspended driver license and 23 who had no insurance.

Over the weekend, Shawnee police officers made contact with 53 drivers during the More Cops More Stops enforcement, which led to police finding eight drivers behind the wheel with a suspended driver license and 23 who had no insurance.

During the enforcement on Saturday, 12 officers issued a total of 44 citations.

They also made one arrest for DUI and three arrest for those who had outstanding warrants.

Police also reported they had one citation for no child safety seat, one for equipment violation, three misdemeanor arrests, four registration violations, and nine warnings.
