  • TULSA, Okla. (AP) — Two of the last three public meetings in Tulsa where citizens can suggest what capital improvement projects they want to see funded first are scheduled for next week.

They are slated for Monday and Tuesday.

The first two meetings were last month. The final is set for Aug. 13.

Mayor Dewey Bartlett and city councilors will present a draft funding package, including capital improvement projects selected from among needs presented by city departments earlier this year.

After public comments are received, a package will be placed on a November ballot.

Voters can choose to approve funding for the selected improvement projects through sales taxes and a general obligation bond issue.

The new funding package would replace the city's previous 2008 Fix Our Streets program, which expires next year.
