  • Indians run-rule Tigers, 9-0

  • Hunter Fowler smacked a two-run home run, and three of his teammates served up doubles as Asher improved to 4-0 with a 9-0 run-rule Friday over the Roff Tigers.

  • Hunter Fowler smacked a two-run home run, and three of his teammates served up doubles as Asher improved to 4-0 with a 9-0 run-rule Friday over the Roff Tigers.
     
    The game, stopped after five innings, was a semifinals contest of the Dale Tournament.
     
    The Indians opened up a 6-0 lead in the top of the first, and Fowler’s blast accounted for two of Asher’s three runs in the second inning.
     
    Caleb Dubler hit a double, and Tim Johnson and Trucker Lee each hit run-scoring two-baggers.
     
    Dubler (2-0) was the winning pitcher. He held the Tigers to three hits while striking out seven batters and walking one.
     
    The Indians will face Dale at 6:30 p.m. today in the finals of the Dale Tournament.
