  • Bethel defeated Cache 1-0 in eight innings — on the international tiebreaker — then followed with an 11-1 romp of Marietta to finish up play in the Chisholm Trail Classic Saturday at Shawnee’s FireLake fields.
     
    Kim Herron pitched against Cache, holding the Lady Bulldogs to three hits while walking one batter and striking out six. The Lady Wildcat offense produced three hits — a single apiece from Kelsey Eropkin, Shelby Miller and Bry Flanagan.
     
    Zoe Rayner held Marietta to just two hits while striking out two and issuing no walks.
     
    Eropkin led Bethel’s 13-hit offense at 3-for-3, and Miller, Flanagan, Makayla Whitten and Herron notched two hits apiece. Flanagan finished with a double and two runs batted in; Whitten collected a double and one RBI; and Herron drove in two runs.
     
    Bethel, now 4-1, will go to Tecumseh Tuesday for a 5 p.m. JV/varsity doubleheader.
