Tecumseh’s Lady Savages went 1-1 Saturday en route to a third-place finish at the Byng/Konawa Back to School Classic.

In the first test of the day, Tecumseh’s Jordan Detherage improved to 2-0 with a two-hit, 4-0 shutout of Konawa.

Detherage fanned five and walked three.

Suni Meely led Tecumseh offensively with three singles in three at-bats.

Caitlin Bingham ripped a two-run double in the first inning and teammate Sierra Humphrey collected two singles.

In the third-place game, Bingham and Tecumseh came out on the short end of a 2-1 decision to Seminole.

Bingham, 1-1, permitted only one hit but walked six. She finished with nine strikeouts.

Tecumseh was limited to four singles — one apiece from Meely, Detherage, Bingham and Franki Hull.

The Lady Savages will travel to McLoud Monday for a 5 p.m. varsity/junior varsity doubleheader.
