Representative James Lankford (R-OK) was honored to join Oklahoma Attorney General Scott Pruitt on today’s Americans for Prosperity (AFP) panel discussion called “EPA Regulations and Your Pocketbook” at Oklahoma City University’s Meinders School of Business. Rep. Lankford issued the following statement after completion of the panel’s conversation:
“Today was another opportunity to show how state and national leaders can work together to keep energy prices down by protecting the free market and state authority. I appreciate the opportunity AFP provided AG Pruitt and me to address both the State of Oklahoma’s fight against overreaching EPA regulations through the judicial system and my work in Congress to rein in excessive regulations on all Oklahoma families.
“I have worked in Congress to reduce excessive regulations and agency red tape on all forms of energy, so Oklahoma can continue to enhance our energy portfolio. Oklahoma is a national energy leader. We understand well that federal actions could reduce or eliminate the open door to American energy independence and job creation. I will fight federal agency overreach in our state to ensure our entire energy industry has the opportunity to create jobs and expand our economy.”
