Macomb’s Lady Hornets went 2-1 Friday to finish third and conclude their stay at the Little River Conference Tournament.
Macomb opened with five-inning victories over Mason, 3-1, and Moss, 2-1. Bowlegs then handed Macomb a 12-1 setback.
Against Mason, Kailin Gregg earned the pitching victory with a one-hitter. She whiffed five and issued three walks.
Macomb combined two hits with nine walks. Torre Annanders had the game-winning hit, a three-run double to right center in the bottom of the fourth inning.
Ashley Carpenter was credited with the pitching win against Moss. Moss posted its only run in the bottom of the second after Macomb tallied two runs in the top of the inning.
Gregg led off the second with a double and scored on an RBI single by Dakota Daley. Annanders broke the tie with a single.
Macomb finished with seven hits, two of which came from Annanders.
Macomb, 7-5 on the season, will travel to Varnum Monday. A junior high game will launch play at 4 p.m., followed by two varsity contests.
