Meeker’s Lady Bulldogs improved to 19-13 Monday with a 2-0 shutout over Stroud’s Lady Tigers.

Class 3A’s ninth-ranked Lady Bulldogs tallied six hits as winning pitcher Morgan Palmer led at 2-for-3. Mariah Stansell, Amaris Stansell and Cortney Edmonds each added a single.

Palmer (16-12) held Stroud to one hit while striking out three batters and walking one.

Meeker played in the Bristow Festival Saturday, and came away with wins over Bristow (8-6) and Blackwell (7-1).

Palmer was the winning pitcher for both contests. She had a total of 11 strikeouts and two walks on the day, and gave up 10 hits — seven to Bristow.

Mariah Stansell drove in a run on three singles versus Bristow, while Palmer batted in three with two singles. Morgan Hammontree and Savanah Kellner racked up two singles each, and Edmonds clubbed a run-scoring double.

Edmonds was the ringleader against Blackwell with three doubles and three RBI, and Mariah Stansell and Amaris Stansell each finished with a pair of singles. Kellner, Palmer and Amaris Stansell all drove in a run each.

Meeker will host Luther at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday for a varsity/junior varsity doubleheader.
