Class 2A’s top-ranked Dale Lady Pirates earned their third consecutive North Canadian Valley Conference crown Monday with a 7-3 win over 4A’s fourth-ranked Tecumseh.

Class 2A’s top-ranked Dale Lady Pirates earned their third consecutive North Canadian Valley Conference crown Monday with a 7-3 win over 4A’s fourth-ranked Tecumseh.

Dale led 5-2 after two innings, and 5-3 after six. Caitlin Pitchford’s two-out two-run triple in the top of the seventh provided some cushion.

Dale logged a dozen hits, including a double and a single from Jaelin Flewallen. Lacey Hood went 4-for-4, all singles, and drove in two runs.

Tecumseh’s six-hit offense included a triple by Aspen Grimes and a double apiece by Jordan Detherage and Bailey Smith. Caitlin Bingham added an RBI single.

Dale’s Erin Harris picked up the pitching win to improve to 12-1. She struck out three, did not allow a walk and plunked one batter.

Detherage absorbed the loss. She struck out two and did not permit a walk.

Tecumseh (18-7) will host Holdenville at 5 p.m. Tuesday. Dale (24-1) will host Perkins-Tryon at 4:30 p.m.
