  • A day after winning in straight sets over visiting Noble, Shawnee prevailed in straight sets (25-12, 25-13, 25-18) Tuesday at host Carl Albert.
     
    Hannah Brooks logged 14 assists and seven digs, and also added two aces and five kills. Summer Skillern had six kills and three digs, and Tiffany Gardner posted seven kills, one block and a team-high 12 aces.
     
    Alex Berry had five kills, Kathryn Kim had three each on kills and assists, and Karoline Weins finished with two aces, three digs and three assists.
     
    Taylor Evans picked up an ace and 11 digs.
     
    On Monday, Shawnee defeated Noble 25-11, 25-7 and 25-18 at the Shawnee High School Performing Arts and Athletic Center.
     
    Brooks recorded 17 consecutive serves with eight aces, and she also logged three kills and dozen assists.
     
    Skillern had three aces and seven kills, and Gardner finished with two kills, a block and 10 digs.
     
    Bailey Kasterke picked up four aces and three assists, and Dacie Hutcheson got two kills and two blocks.
     
    “The girls played great,” said SHS coach Kelsey Johnson. “I’m so proud of them thus far, and they keep growing day by day.”
     
    Shawnee hosts Piedmont at 7 p.m. Thursday. The Lady Wolves will take part in the Bartlesville Tournament Friday and Saturday.
