Top-ranked Class 2A Dale ran its record to 25-1 Tuesday, and winning pitcher Taylor Powell remained perfect at 11-0 as the Lady Pirates bludgeoned Perkins-Tryon by a 10-0 count.

Top-ranked Class 2A Dale ran its record to 25-1 Tuesday, and winning pitcher Taylor Powell remained perfect at 11-0 as the Lady Pirates bludgeoned Perkins-Tryon by a 10-0 count.

The game was stopped after five innings on the run rule.

Powell held the Lady Demons to just two hits. She struck out two and did not permit a walk.

Erin Harris and Lacey Hood were each 3-for-3 as Dale finished with 13 hits. Harris drove in three runs, and Hood logged a double.

Caitlyn Pitchford hit a single and a double and Danni Manning clubbed a triple for the victors. DaLacy Dockrey hit two singles and Jaelin Flewallen added a double.

Now 25-1, Dale will participate in the Davenport Tournament Thursday and Saturday. The Lady Pirates will begin by facing the winner between Perkins-Tryon and Kellyville at 2:30 p.m. Thursday.
