School participating in food drive to help fight hunger.
McLoud Junior High School is participating in The Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma 2013 Students Against Hunger Food Drive. Each homeroom is collecting food to help those families who are in need.
It will run from Monday, Sept. 23, through Friday, Oct. 11.
The food drive also helps bring awareness to the issue of poverty and hunger. The success of our food drive will help feed those in our community who are hungry--especially in these tough economic times and with the holidays coming up.
All items must be sealed and non-perishable, including things such as canned meats, soups, canned fruits and vegetables, and boxes of rice, cereal, and pasta.
For more information, you may contact Alayna Baker, the Leadership teacher at McLoud Junior High, at (405) 964-3312 ext. 5623.
