  • Austin Sanders struck for an inside-the-park grand slam Tuesday, and Earlsboro’s Wildcats came out on top of a scoring marathon with Mason, 25-16.

  • Austin Sanders struck for an inside-the-park grand slam Tuesday, and Earlsboro’s Wildcats came out on top of a scoring marathon with Mason, 25-16.
     
    Sanders finished at 1-for-2 with four runs batted in and five runs scored as Earlsboro out-slugged the hosts 19-7. Connor Kelsay was 3-for-5 with two runs scored and two RBI; Derick McCormick was 2-for-3 with two runs scored and three RBI; and Kaiden Orso was 4-for-5 with three runs scored and five RBI.
     
    Ethan Bateman added two hits, three runs and an RBI for the victors, while Dalton Landers went 3-for-4 with three runs scored and an RBI.
     
    Earlsboro led 3-1 after one inning, but trailed 5-3 after three. Trailing 16-15 after six frames, the Wildcats exploded for 10 runs in the top of the seventh.
     
    The teams combined for nine errors, with seven charged to Earlsboro.
     
    Orso threw the first five innings, striking out eight. McCormick earned the win in relief.
