The United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma, announced today that Gene Allen Nunn, 30, of Morris, pled guilty to Possession of Stolen Firearm.
Charges arose from an investigation by the District 25 District Attorney’s Office and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. The defendant was indicted in August, 2013.
The Indictment alleged that between Nov. 21, 2011 and Dec. 1, 2011, in the Eastern District of Oklahoma, the defendant did receive, conceal, store, barter, sell or dispose of numerous stolen firearms.
The Honorable Kimberly E. West, Magistrate Judge in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma, in Muskogee, accepted the defendant’s guilty plea and ordered the completion of a presentence investigation report. Sentencing will be scheduled following its completion.
The statutory range of punishment is not more than 10 years imprisonment and/or up to a $250,000 fine.
