  • Ashleigh Chessmore and Thomas Schaffer were united in Holy Matrimony Aug. 24, 2013, at New Beginnings Church in Shawnee with Rev. Trey Teape, pastor of Frontline Church, Shawnee, and the Rev. Larry Schut, father of the bride, officiating.
    The bride is the daughter of Larry and Donna Schut, Seminole, and the granddaughter of Bill and Marian Chessmore of Moore.
    The groom is the son of T.J. and Gina Schaffer of Midwest City and the grandson of Jim and Edna Brooks of Ralston, and Elizabeth Schaffer of San Diego, Calif.
    Maid of honor was Ashley Cheeves of Shawnee, friend of the bride for many years. Bridesmaids were Dani Leckie, Midwest City, friend of the couple, and Amber Chessmore, Moore, sister of the bride.
    Attending the groom were Best Man, Matt Leckie, Midwest City, friend of the groom, and Groomsmen, Blake Burrough, Shawnee, friend of the groom, and Jerrod Friend, Shawnee, friend of the groom.
    Serving as ushers were Aarron and Boe Dillman of Seminole, and Joshua Palmer, Tecumseh, all cousins of the bride. Carrie Chessmore, Seminole, sister of the bride, and Brooke Dillman, Seminole and Jordan Palmer, Tecumseh, cousins of the bride, served at the guest book and the gift table. Danelle Dillman, Seminole, aunt of the bride, and Lisa Burrough, Shawnee, friend of the couple, served as the Bride’s personal attendants.
    The bride was escorted to the altar by her parents. She wore a strapless Vera Wang dress, covered with d’Esprit tulle, with the bodice layered in a crisscrossed pattern. The dress featured large front and back pleats, and flowing into a chapel train with a large bow accenting the back of the dress. She carried a bouquet of white lilies accented by yellow daisies. The bridesmaids wore matching yellow dresses and carried lilies. The groomsmen wore dress pants and matching vests of light grey. The groom wore charcoal grey attire.
    The bride is a graduate of Seminole High School and is working on her degree in elementary education. At the present time, she works at the office of the District Attorney. Thomas graduated from Oklahoma Baptist University with a degree as a Youth Pastor. They are presently both serving as the Youth Pastors at Frontline Church in Shawnee. The groom is also employed at Starbucks in Shawnee.
    After a cruise, they will make their home in Shawnee.
