  • FBI seeks bank robber

  • Arvest bank in Norman robbed.

  • Special Agent-in-Charge James E. Finch of the Oklahoma City Division of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), announced the robbery of the Arvest Bank branch located at 1355 W. Lindsey Street, Norman.
     
    Just after 12:00 noon Friday, a male (dressed as a female), entered the bank and approached the teller counter. The subject presented a note to the teller which stated he had a gun and demanding money. No weapon was actually observed. The teller complied with the demand and the subject placed an undisclosed amount of money in a burgundy handbag. The subject exited the front door of the bank and was last seen on foot, heading east.
     
    The subject is described as a white male, mid 30’s, 5’11” – 6’2”, 175-195 lbs., thin build, wearing a gray vest, long sleeve gray and turquoise shirt, blue jeans, shoulder length blonde wig, red lipstick, bright orange or pink running shoes and sunglasses, carrying a burgundy handbag.
     
    No one was injured in today’s robbery. This robbery is being investigated by the Norman Police Department and the FBI. Anyone with information is requested to contact the FBI at (405)290-7770 (24 hour number). Callers may remain anonymous. The Oklahoma Bankers Association offers a reward of up to $2,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of anyone responsible for robbing a member bank.
