  • Seminole State College’s Business and Industry Training Program is offering several short-term Medical and Health Science Courses beginning in October.
     
    The courses include Pharmacy Technician Certification, Physicians Medical Office Assistant and Dental Assisting Program.
     
    The Pharmacy Technician Certification course is scheduled Oct. 22 through Dec.12, Tuesday and Thursday evenings, from 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. The class will take place in room 115 in the Enoch Kelly Haney Center. The cost of the course is $1,044. Books are included with the course.
     
    The Physicians Medical Office Assistant course is scheduled Oct. 22 through Dec. 12, Tuesday and Thursday evenings, from 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. The class will take place in room 122 in the Enoch Kelly Haney Center. The cost of the course is $1,044. Books are included with the course.
     
    The Dental Assisting Program course is scheduled Oct. 22 through Dec. 19, Tuesday and Thursday evenings, from 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. The class will take place in room 104 in the Enoch Kelly Haney Center. The cost of the course is $1,244. Books are included with the course.
     
    Students are encouraged to have completed math and science in high school and have a high school diploma or GED to register for the courses. Deadline for enrollment is Oct. 15.
     
    Those wanting to enroll are encouraged to call Carol Hartman, Business and Training Coordinator at (405) 382-9246. Participants can also enroll at the College’s Office of Admissions in the Student Services Building.
