  • Memorial Park Cemetery, in cooperation with the Boy Scouts Eagle District, will host a Flag Retirement Ceremony at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 9 at the cemetery, 13313 N. Kelly in Oklahoma City.
     
    Members of the community are welcome to join in ceremoniously retiring their worn American flags by calling Memorial Park at (405) 755-1111 to RSVP for the event by Friday, Nov. 8.
     
    “It is a great honor to be the host of this event that ensures that our nation’s flags are retired with the dignity and respect they deserve,” says Lori Werkmeister, general manager at Memorial Park Cemetery. “We hope to continue the partnership with the Boy Scouts Eagle District and host this honorable event annually.”
