Make Your Own Brain in Tecumseh craft program
Just in time for a spooky Halloween look, the Tecumseh Public Library is giving teens and tweens (ages 10-18) a chance to “Make Your Own Brain!” at a two-day program, at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 16 and Thursday, Oct. 17.
They’ll be making a brain-shaped hat that can be used as part of a Halloween costume, or any other occasion a teen might need to wear a brain hat.
Participants will need to be at the library both days. On Wednesday, they will shape together their hat and on Thursday they’ll return to the library to paint it in whatever brain-like color they choose.
Space and materials for the project are limited so registration is required in advance to take part.

Construct some warm pajama pants in Tecumseh program
The Tecumseh Public Library will give teens and adults a chance to put together a pair of pajama pants at the library at 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 17.
The pants can be made using only one seam, which participants will sew. As the project will require quite a bit of fabric, each person is being asked to bring their own, either flannel, which is a good choice for warmer pants, or cotton.
For a pair of pants for a person shorter than 5-foot-5, bring three yards and for anyone 5-foot-5 or taller, bring three and-a-half yards.
Registration is required to attend the program.
