Voters who live in the McLoud School District will decide a $625,000 school bond issue today.
Polls at McLoud’s two precincts are open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. today.
The McLoud School board is asking residents to approve transportation bonds for the purchase of new school buses.
Diana L. Knight, Secretary of the Pottawatomie County election Board, urges voters to take their Voter Identification Cards to the polls with them.
“Your Voter Identification Card can help Precinct Officials find your name in the Precinct Registry and it may also help them resolve the problem if you are not listed in the Precinct,” she said.
Voters who are not found in the precinct registry, or voters who disagree with the information shown in the registry, may need to cast a provisional ballot.
A provisional ballot is sealed in a special envelope and counted after election day if the voter’s information can be verified by the County Election Board.
“Anyone who is eligible and in line at the polling place at 7 p.m. on Tuesday will be entitled to vote,” she added.
Polling places for the election are Precinct 25, Lakeview Church of Christ; and Precinct 31, the McLoud Board of Education.
