  • Up 33-31 late in a back-and-forth contest, Chandler allowed Bristow’s Blaylen Crawford to score on a 2-yard touchdown run that gave the Purple Pirates a come-from-behind, 37-33 home win Friday night.

The loss dropped the Lions to 1-2 in District 3A-2 action and 3-3 overall.

The road defeat ruined a big game for Chandler quarterback Mason Meyers, who ran for two touchdowns — including a 69-yard dash to the goal line — and threw for another, a 55-yard TD completion to Rodney Lewis in the first quarter.

The Lions out-gained the host Pirates 447-359, but fell short on the scoreboard.

Kiantae Wilson threw three TD passes for Bristow and also scored on a 5-yard rush.

Chandler will be at home Thursday night to face Cushing.
