Members of the Tecumseh FFA Chapter are busy planning the Tecumseh FFA Annual Pig Roast and Labor Auction. The event will be held Nov. 16 at 6 p.m. at the W.P. Wood Alumni Building on the Tecumseh High School campus.
The doors will open at 6 p.m. with FFA members serving smoked pork tenderloin with all the fixins’ and a dessert.
As always there is great anticipation for this year’s dinner and auction. FFA members, booster club members and parents are in the final stages of preparation, gathering donated auction items from area businesses. Tecumseh FFA Agriculture Power and Technology students are adding the finishing touches to numerous items being fabricated which will appear on the sale bill.
In addition to the previously mentioned auction items, FFA members will be sold to the highest bidder. The buyers will be purchasing eight hours of labor from each FFA member that is sold. The live auction will begin at approximately 6:30 p.m. while the silent auction will be open for bidding from 6 p.m. until approximately 7:30 p.m.
The Tecumseh FFA Chapter invites the community to this year’s annual pig roast and labor auction. All of the proceeds from the dinner and auction will be used to finance upcoming chapter activities.Tickets are $7 each, children six and under are free.
If unable to stay for the auction, to go orders will be available. Tickets may be purchased from any Tecumseh FFA member and will also be available at the door. Anyone wishing to donate an item to the live or silent auction may do so by contacting the agriculture education building at 598-3013.
