Class schedules, course offerings now online.

Class schedules detailing Seminole State College’s Spring 2014 Semester and May Intersession course offerings are now available online.

Spring courses are set to begin Monday, January 13. Students and area residents can take advantage of open enrollment now through Friday, Jan. 17, 2014.

Online enrollment is available for those students who qualify. All first-time students are required to come to the Admissions office in person for enrollment. Returning students, who have cleared any academic deficiencies, may contact an SSC counselor to be released to enroll online. Enrollment is also ongoing for the December-January Intersession which begins December 16, 2013 and ends January 10, 2014. All intercession classes require students to meet face to face for five days, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and to complete online coursework using Campus Cruiser. Intersession classes offered this term are anthropology, computer science, government, wellness and human development, humanities, sociology and speech.

SSC students can receive associate degrees in 23 major fields of study, including concentrations in art, behavioral science, business, child development, criminal justice, computer science, elementary education, English, general studies, government, history, health occupations, health, physical education and recreation, language arts and humanities, life science, mathematics, physical science, psychology, pre-engineering, sociology, and speech.

SSC also offers certifications for occupation majors in medical lab technology, nursing, business and information systems, applied technology and child development.

Special extended enrollment hours for the SSC Office of Admissions, Business Office and Bookstore are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Dec. 16 through Tuesday, Dec. 17; 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday, Jan. 6 through Thursday, Jan. 9; 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, Jan. 10; 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 11; 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 2; and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, Jan. 3. The Admissions office will be closed Wednesday, Dec. 18 through Wednesday, Jan. 1.

Students may pay tuition and fee charges online at through “eCashier.”
