  • Oklahoma Baptist’s first homecoming football game since 1940 kicks off at 1 p.m. Saturday with the Bison hosting Oklahoma Panhandle State.
     
    It will be the final home game of the season for the Bison.
     
    Though they are an NCAA Division II team, Oklahoma Panhandle State plays a Central States Football League schedule every season.
     
    OPSU, 3-7, is averaging 393 yards total offense per game. The Aggies are allowing 394 yards total offense every contest.
     
    Chris McLendon is Oklahoma Panhandle State’s top rusher, carrying the ball 157 times this year for 816 yards in 10 games. Caleb Holbrook has completed 162 of 308 passes with nine interceptions and 16 touchdowns for 2092 yards.
     
    His favorite target has been Jamal White with 26 catches for 388 yards.
     
    Defensively, Andrew Dougherty leads with 67 tackles, while Allen Maxime and Glenn Bonner have 4.5 sack each and Jamel Major has three interceptions.
     
    Darryl Fields leads the Bison with 63.4 yards rushing per game while Cal Grauer is throwing for 137 yards per game, completing 83 of 195 passes with 14 interceptions and 10 touchdowns.
     
    Nyko Symonds leads the receiving corps with 29 receptions and 522 yards.
     
    Defensively, Kimes Gilbert leads with 53 tackles and four sacks, while Eugene Estes, Nelson Mederios and Clint Wilson all have three interceptions.
