  • Seminole split the offensive output Friday with 169 yards rushing and 169 yards passing, and the Chieftains defeated Chandler 52-26 for their third consecutive unbeaten regular season.

Standout running back Papi White rushed for 106 yards on 10 first-quarter carries before being sidelined in preparation for the beginning of the playoffs. He scored four touchdowns in that 12-minute span Friday, including a 65-yard reception from Doc Harvey on Seminole’s first play from scrimmage.

    White’s other scores came on a 6-yard run, a 4-yard run and a 35-yard run.

The Chieftains led 38-0 after the opening stanza, and 44-7 at halftime.

Chandler logged 147 rushing yards on 34 attempts, and Hunter Hudson completed seven of 18 passes for 39 yards. He was intercepted once.

Harvey was 6-for-15 with no picks, but the Chieftains had a hard time corralling fumbles, losing three of three.

The Lions trailed 52-14 after three quarters, and ended the scoring with Darion Mixon’s 10-yard rushing TD in the fourth. Heath Gray scored just prior to that, from a yard out, to make it 52-20.

Hudson was in on Chandler’s two other scores of the night — a 20-yard pass to Rodney Lewis in the second quarter, and a 48-yard keeper in the third.

Head coach Mike Snyder said this is the first time the Chieftains have forged three undefeated seasons in school history.

“We played a good first half,” Snyder said.

Snyder substituted liberally, with all starters out after the first half.

“We’ve got everybody healthy going into the playoffs,” he said.

Seminole will host Marlow at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 15, in the opening round of the postseason.
