  • Asher’s Indians out-scored Stonewall 15-11 in two overtimes Friday to clinch a 79-75 win and improve to 2-0 on the season.

  • Asher’s Indians out-scored Stonewall 15-11 in two overtimes Friday to clinch a 79-75 win and improve to 2-0 on the season.
     
    Caleb Dubler led Asher — and the game — with 24 points. Teammates Tim Johnson an Trucker Lee pitched in with 13 and 11, respectively.
     
    Asher led 18-12 after the first quarter, and 34-24 at the half. Stonewall was down 53-40 after three quarters before unloading a 24-11 surge in the fourth.
     
    The girls’ game also went to Asher, 53-36. Tarin Dubler led the Lady Indians with 17 points and five steals, and Shelby Fleming contributed a dozen points. Tristan Milburn posted nine points, seven rebounds and five assists as the Asher girls improved to 2-0.
     
    Asher will travel to Dale Tuesday. The girls’ game will tip off at 6:30 p.m., and the boys’ game will follow.
