  • A pedestrian trying to cross SH 18 in Lincoln County died after being struck by a vehicle Tuesday night.
    The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said the accident occurred about 7:08 p.m. on SH 18 at County Road 860.
    The pedestrian, David Tate, 62, of Stillwater, was wearing all black clothing when he entered the roadway from the east side, the patrol reported. He was attempting to cross the road when he struck by a northbound 2001 Volkswagen Jetta driven by Christopher Wilkinson, 27, of Agra, the OHP reported.
    Wilkinson was not injured.
    Cause of the collision was listed on Trooper Kyle Winrow’s report as pedestrian in the roadway.
    Lincoln County deputies and Agra police assisted at the scene.
