Bobby R. and Wanda D. Barton of Shawnee celebrated their 25th anniversary Nov. 16, 2013, at Vision Bank Community Room in Shawnee. It was hosted by Jill and Wes Blalock, longtime friends of the couple.
The couple was married Nov. 12, 1988, at Bowlegs Methodist Church in Bowlegs, with Rev. Robert Cocke presiding.
Bobby has been a cross country truck driver for the past 14 years. Wanda has worked at the Shawnee News-Star, Dollar General, and Your Credit, and has retired.
The couple has lived in Shawnee, and Wanda sometimes goes on the road with Bobby. They both like getting together with family and friends for cards and dominoes. They own lake lots at Eufaula and like spending free time there with sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Larry Harris, of Seminole.
Bobby is the son of Wrenetta and Dorsey Parker of Tecumseh and the late Burl Barton of Okemah.
Wanda is the daughter of the late Helen Houck, Seminole, and the late J. Albert (Bud) Taylor of Mesquite, Texas.
