  • Acting on a tip that prompted further investigation, Shawnee police, working a joint operation with the district attorney’s task force, raided a home on Broadway Street and arrested two suspects on narcotics violations.
Shawnee Police Sgt. Dan Shumaker said authorities raided 1016 N. Broadway and seized one-half ounce of methamphetamine and multiple items of drug paraphernalia.
Two suspects were arrested at the scene.
Shonda Jefferson, 37, and Tyler Tharp, 29, were booked into jail on complaints of possession of controlled substance with intent to distribute and unlawful use of a telecommunication device to facilities at felony.
Formal charges have not been filed.
The Shawnee city marshals, U.S. Marshals Service and the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics assisted local authorities in the raid, Shumaker said.
The case will be forwarded to the district attorney’s for consideration of formal charges.
