OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — Oklahoma City police have released the name of a man who shot himself following a five-hour standoff with police.

Police Capt. Dexter Nelson says 26-year-old Michael Scott Pena was found dead inside the home after the standoff.

The Oklahoman reports (http://bit.ly/1laDgF6) that police were called about 12:45 p.m. Saturday by a woman who said Pena was armed and suicidal. Nelson said officers arrived to find the woman in the front yard being beaten with a rifle by Pena.

Police later obtained an arrest warrant for Pena and a search warrant for the home, then heard a gunshot from inside the home about 6 p.m. Officers later entered the home and found the man dead of a gunshot wound.
