Monthly meeting to be held Monday.
The Oklahoma Transportation Commission will hold its monthly meeting at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 6 in the R.A. Ward Transportation Building, 200 N.E. 21st St. in Oklahoma City. Items to be addressed at the meeting include:
·During his report to the commission, Oklahoma Department of Transportation Executive Director Mike Patterson will provide ODOT’s reaction to how congress addressed federal transportation bill funding issues.
·The American Concrete Pavement Association will recognize ODOT for its work on the award-winning Oklahoma highway project to rehabilitate the pavement on a six-mile stretch of I-40 in Seminole County.
·The Traffic Engineering Division will announce more than $5.6 million in safety improvements including cable barrier, signage, striping and rumble strips in various counties around Oklahoma.

The commission, an eight-member panel appointed by the governor to oversee the state’s transportation development, awards project contracts for road and bridge construction on a monthly basis.
