Leadership program at Gordon Cooper.
The Municipal Employee Institute, the newest leadership development
program offered by The Center for Community Development at Gordon Cooper Technology Center, begins Jan. 14.
The MEI provides new and experienced municipal employees in the Lincoln, Pottawatomie and Seminole area with the skills and resources they need to move into a leadership position in their organization. Curriculum to be discussed in the four day program include: Leadership and Supervisory Skills, Verbal and Written Communication, Time Management, Human Resources, Motivating your Workforce, Customer Service, Recruiting and Retaining Employees, Employee Performance Evaluations, Budget and Finance and Ethics.
The MEI sessions will be held Jan. 14, and 28 and Feb. 11th and 25 from
9 a.m. until 4 p.m. at Gordon Cooper Technology Center in Shawnee. The cost to attend the MEI is $225 per person with lunch included.
The Center for Community Development at Gordon Cooper Technology Center provides established and emerging professionals in Lincoln, Pottawatomie and Seminole Counties with training in Leadership, Planning and Quality Growth and Economic Development. This three-pronged approach to community development is designed to help participants cultivate the knowledge and skills needed to achieve excellence in their communities.
